We believe there is one true God, eternally existent in three persons:God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit (Deuteronomy 6:4 & Matthew 28:19).
We believe that the Bible is the God inspired authoritative Word of Truth and it is infallible in every Word (2 Timothy 3:16)
We believe that Jesus Christ was born of a virgin (Matthew 1:18), lived a sinless life, died on the cross as an atoning sacrifice for the sin of mankind (1 Peter 3:18), was buried, and on the third day, was raised from the dead by God the Almighty Father (Matthew 28:5-6). Jesus Christ's death paid for our sins and through God's forgiveness of sin and gift of grace (Ephesians 2:8-9), all who commit their lives to Jesus Christ, in belief that He alone can save, will spend eternity in heaven (Romans 6:23 & Romans 10:9-10).
We believe that this statement applies to every one. Through meeting the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of children with special needs and families in Middle Tennessee, Jesus can use us to share the message of salvation and make disciples.
We believe in Divine Healing of the human body provided through the redemptive work of Christ on the Cross in answer to believing prayer (Acts 9:34 and 1 Peter 2:24).
As Christians, we must remember Jesus' command in Matthew 28:18-20. This Scripture instructs:
Then Jesus came to them and said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."
We all have been blessed with gifts (1 Corinthians 12:7-11) that we can use in fulfilling the Great Commission, and we know that Jesus is always with us. At Special Kids, we serve Him by serving families who have children with special needs. Jesus Christ spent His life seeking out and meeting needs in a caring, compassionate manner. God, our Almighty Father, has blessed the staff and Board of Directors with the ability, mission, and platform to imitate Jesus Christ' ministry through Special Kids.
Jesus said, "Let the little children come to Me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these" (Matthew 19:14). This Scripture is a guiding reminder that Jesus Christ will draw His children and families to Himself. We must not only refrain from hindering them when they approach Him but also must help them get to Him (Matthew 28: 18-20). We seek to glorify Jesus Christ and meet the needs of everyone we serve - one child, one family, one community at a time.
